Are you new to Drupal? Or interested in conducting training? This workshop is designed just for you! Whether you're a student, a member of another community, or simply eager to learn, join this class for an exciting journey into the world of Drupal.

During this hands-on workshop, we'll focus on site building and explore some of the basic core features of Drupal accessible via the admin panel. Get ready to dive right in as we create our first project together!

We'll start by installing Drupal from scratch, guiding you through the process step-by-step. Then, we'll roll up our sleeves and begin playing around with content types, fields, and taxonomies, learning how to structure our website's content effectively. But that's not all! We'll also delve into extending our website's functionality with contributed modules and themes, tailoring our site to meet the unique requirements of our project.

By the end of this workshop, you'll have gained practical experience in starting building a Drupal site and be ready to embark on your own Drupal adventures. Don't miss out on this opportunity to kickstart your journey with Drupal!

Note to the organisers: This workshop should have a duration of about 2h. It would be good if there is a chance to continue even further in case there are newbies that need help/mentoring. I would suggest it takes place in the smaller rooms for BoFs/Contribution. No recording is necessary. Actually, if there are no newcomers/beginners, this workshop can easily transform into a BoF for sharing & discussing training approaches and strategies. Also, I can get some of my previous students and interns help by mentoring the newcomers, or participating in discussions.
