"How to get there?" continues to be one of the most popular questions related to the event.
Of course, we cannot make guidelines for all the cities in Europe (let alone other continents), but we can do so for the cities that hosted Drupal Developer Days in the previous years.
How does that sound?
And since the last year, the host city for Drupal Developer Days was Vienna, let's start with it!

Direct flights
European discounter carriers Ryan Air and Wizz Air perform direct flights between Vienna and Burgas.
Flight duration is about 2 hours with 2-3 weekly flights by each company.
Smaller carriers like Swedish Air Leap operate during the season.

Flights to other Bulgarian cities
Sofia
If you decide to stop in the Bulgarian capital Sofia, you can take a daily Austrian airlines flight, which takes about hour and a half. There are multiple options to travel between Sofia and Burgas (we will explain them later), and there is certainly a lot to see in Sofia itself.
Varna
Austrian airlines and Ryan Air both have direct flights to Varna. There is taxi and bus connection between Varna and Burgas.
By bus
Flixbus has daily bus route from Vienna to Burgas, lasting slightly less than 1 day. It is possible to split the route to smaller legs, if you want to explore other places while travelling - and over the route from Vienna, Flixbus makes stops in Budapest in Hungary, Novi Sad and Belgrade in Serbia, Sofia and Plovdiv in Bulgaria - and I personally would recommend all of them.

By train
Travelling by train has both its ups and downs. It's more comfortable, you can stretch your legs and have a walk without leaving a carriage - but at expense of the speed. The fastest option is about 30 hours, and the route is Vienna-Budapest-Bucharest-Ruse-Burgas
